Where do we get gas?

There is only one fuel station on Banks Lake located at Coulee Playland on the far north end of the lake, this is where you will fuel up before returning your boat to us at Sunbanks Resort. There are several marinas with fuel on either Blue Lake or Lake Roosevelt.

Do I have to trailer the watercraft?

No, we deliver each of the watercraft and launch them for you. There is no need to worry about bringing a pickup with the appropriate hitch, we will do all of the work.

Does the rental come with lifevests?

Yes, every rental comes with a lifevest for each person up to the capacity of the watercraft. We will fit each person at our location prior to going to launch the boat. If you have arranged to meet us at a boat launch, than be sure to tell us the appropriate sizes needed prior to our meeting time.

How old do I have to be to rent or operate the watercraft?

To rent and drive either the ski boats or pontoon boats, you must be at least 21 years old. To rent the jet skis you must be at least 18 years old, to operate the jet skis you must be 18 with a valid driver’s license.

Am I required to have a boater’s license?

No, when you rent from us you are exempt from the requirement to have a boating license. We will provide you with a temporary license to operate our watercraft, just be sure to bring your valid drivers license.

How many people do your boats hold?

Our ski boats range in capacity from 7 to 8 passengers and our pontoon boats are from 10-14 passenger boats. The jet skis are rated for 3 passengers, which amounts to either two adults or one adult with two small children. To see our selection of boats for rent and their capacity’s visit our boats page.

What condition are the boats in?

Each year we update and replace certain boats, never letting our rental fleet become abused. We go through our boats each year in the off-season making sure they are properly working and not allow them to become run down, like some rental companies do. We strip out all upholstery that needs attention, even if it is just a minor fix we take them all in to a professional upholster. To see pictures of our actual rental boats visit our pricing page.

Can we ski or tube behind the boats or jet skis?

You can tube, ski, and wakeboard behind all of our ski boats. Skis are included in each boat rental and you can rent wakeboards, tubes, and kneeboards from us as well. Some people even take small children tubing behind our pontoon boats, which isn’t a thrill ride but they enjoy it. We do not allow any towing behind our jet skis.

Is there a damage deposit?

Yes, there is a damage deposit that is required when you rent any of our watercraft. This can vary depending on the watercraft rented from $500 to $1,500. The deposit is to be held on a major credit card and when you return, assuming there is no damage, it will be refunded to your card. You are responsible to pay for all damages caused and the cost of damages may exceed the damage deposit.

Where are we allowed to go on the lake?

Safe and defensive boating is what we ask all our customers to practice and this includes obeying all no-wake zones and keeping away from the shoreline as well as other boats. There are shallow bays on the lake as well as sea weed in spots so be sure to stay in the middle of the lake while traveling. As far as where you can go: we allow our watercraft to travel most of the lake, we do ask that you stay within reasonable distance to our facility.

What is your cancellation policy?

Payment is due when you make your reservation, if you cancel more than 48 hours from your rental date there is a 10% fee charged. There are no refunds given 48 hours or less from the rental date. If the day you rent it is hazardous to be on the water (such as lightning or very high winds) then we will first try to move you to another day if possible, if another day will not work then a full refund will be given.
